Favourite movie and why?

Personally mine's 'The Last Samurai' directed by Edward Zwick and starring Tom Cruise, Ken Watanabe, William Atherton and Billy Connolly. Excellent film!

I love most things Japanese, especially the ancient history such as the Samurai. Their way of living and set of values intrigue me.
Although I hate Tom Cruise, I thought he was pretty damn good in this one, the same goes for Ken Watanabe. The script (by John Logan!) and visuals both had me on the edge of my seat.

Casshern is actually a very very good film, it's kind of like the Japanese version of the matrix, without the whole alternate fake universe crap.

But that isn't my favorite. My favorite is probably Misery, based on the Novel by Stephen King. Such an engrossing plot and just a thrill to watch.

:O Casshern's a great film, nobody I know has seen it lol. Very surreal and low budget but excellent.
It should win an award for cinematography imo, every shot is like a well composed picture. The costumes were awesoem too!

Its low budget?! Wow thats impressive for low budget, after watching it my first thought was "That must've cost a lot!".

Well I haven't seen it in a long time, but the costumes and setting must have cost a fair bit. But everything else seemed pretty low budget, or well.. a little lower than average? It only cost $6 million to make so it's not a lot for a movie. Although let's not forget it's wasn't Hollywood so they didn't spend all their money on Actors and explosives :P

Yeah, the effects in it are brill though, low budget or not.
The only down fall that I don't mind but others may is that it is subtitled.

Tbh I prefer subtitles. The English/American dubs are terrible, they ruin the film for me >_<

My favorite film is The Nightmare Before Christmas. I have all ways loved the film.

My all time favorite is Across The Universe.
I love the beatles, and it's a musical, and it's all about love and peace :)

I urge everyone to see this film, it blew me away.
