Oli's Short Story

The rain falls on his face as he stares in to the black abyss, the clouds circle above him like a pack of hungry vultures.
The thought of knowing tommorow will be another day caught up in the rat race is a manifestation of imprisonment. But not now, right now he is free, feeling the rain drops hit his body.

A swallow swoops down and perches itself on a nearby branch, it sings a song and flies off. He wonders what it would be like to be a bird, to roam free and sing to their hearts content. He smiles and imagines soaring through the air, the wind flurrying through his hair.
He's moving, letting his feet take him wherever they take him; the smell of fresh rain penetrates his senses and liberates his mind.

What do people live for? Is it money, love, fame, success, health? Or is it simply to be free? That short and sweet feeling of life encompasses our hearts and fills it with hope, hope that maybe one day life will once again be simple and beautiful. The way it should be.

Just something I thought up in half an hour or so.. it's not great but I thought it would be fun to write a short lol.

Darn, you got skills Oli! It was beautiful, and so captivating. it just, got to me so deeply. The scenario wasn't hard to create with imagination and the words as I read them, went with the flow of my thoughts. Just, marvelous.
